Job summary

Second Baptist School seeks a Sub-Varsity Baseball Coach for the 2026-2027 school year at SBS Woodway. This role reports to the Head Coach/Director of Athletics and focuses on mentoring student athletes within a Christian framework.

The ideal candidate will plan, organize and implement an athletic program, demonstrate coaching ability in baseball, and model faith, character and leadership for young people. Competitive seasonal stipend provided.

Qualifications

• Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Prior coaching experience in baseball or significant playing experience.
• Ability to mentor student athletes in Christian faith, athletic skills and life skills.
• Engage effectively with students and families; build confidence in SBS.
• Understand and embrace Christian education and athletics within SBS policies.
• Establish cooperative relationships and be personable, energetic and punctual.
• Be committed to professional growth and collaboration with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement an appropriate athletic program for baseball.
• Coach and develop athletes and guide them to fulfill potential as players and citizens.
• Supervise tryouts and team activities; uphold athletics handbook policies.
• Collaborate with school staff and director of athletics on initiatives.
