Job summary

Winchester Public Schools, Virginia Transportation is seeking a Sub Van Driver/Bus Aide for the 2026-2027 school year in Winchester, VA.

The position is part-time (about 4 hours daily), with morning and afternoon shifts. Applicants must meet driving and background requirements, pass a school bus physical and drug test, and be able to operate a minivan within the WPS fleet. Pay is $15.45 per hour after training.

Qualifications

• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
• Must be able to drive a 6-passenger minivan to Leesburg, VA.
• Submit driving record reflecting 0-5 safe driving points; no DUI in past 5 years; no more than 2 moving violations in 1 year.
• Successful completion of criminal record and background check.
• Able to pass required school bus physical and pre-employment drug test.
• Able to safely operate minivan in the WPS fleet.

VanDriver/Aide opportunities offer great flexibility for those who desire part-time work (approximately 4.0 hours/day), Monday - Friday 7:00am - 9:30am and 2:15pm - 4:0gpm

Please note the following requirements which must be completed prior to being hired as a van driver.

Employment Requirements:
