Job Description

This substitute food service worker position involves working in a school kitchen/cafeteria on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Cooking and food preparation
  • Portioning and serving food
  • Maintaining sanitation per USDA and state guidelines
  • Ensuring compliance with HACCP and health department regulations
  • Assisting with cost and inventory control
Qualifications
  • Must obtain necessary clearances and pass criminal background checks
  • Ability to read recipes and perform basic math
  • Positive and consistent work ethic
  • Reliable transportation
  • Willingness to learn and grow
  • Food service experience (preferred)
  • Computer literacy (preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
