Spanish River Church is seeking a Sub Classroom Teacher Assistant to provide temporary, as-needed classroom support when the regular aide is absent. You will assist the teacher with supervision, routines, activities, and materials within a Christian school setting.

The role emphasizes following established procedures, maintaining a safe and positive classroom, and upholding Christian values throughout the school day. Background checks and drug screening are required.

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with children in school, church, or childcare settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with daily routines, activities, and transitions.
• Greet and supervise students at arrival and throughout the day.
• Assist with preparing and distributing classroom materials as needed.
• Support student learning activities by circulating, reading to students, and encouraging engagement.
• Maintain clean work areas and assist with light housekeeping.
• Supervise students during snack, recess, lunch, Chapel, field trips, and other activities.
• Support with line‑up, dismissal, and preparation of materials to be sent home.
• Follow the teacher’s procedures for classroom management and student discipline.
• Contribute to a safe, orderly, Christian learning environment.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding students and families.
