Job summary

ReNEW Schools seeks a dependable driver to provide safe, orderly transportation for students on an as-needed basis. Responsibilities include operating school buses, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensuring safe student conduct on routes.

Qualified applicants must be at least 21, capable of passing a CDL with Class B, Air Brake, and P/S endorsements, and able to complete background checks and regular drug tests. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.

• Must be able to pass a CDL Physical and regular drug tests.
• Ability to communicate clearly and observe children while driving.

Responsibilities

• Drive school bus on regular and extracurricular routes.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain safety.

Job summary:

To provide safe, orderly and efficient transportation services, on an as-needed basis when additional drivers are needed to complete all regular routes or extra-curricular routes.

Essential Job Functions:

All duties connected to driving a school bus. This includes, but it is not limited to, bus inspection, and safe transportation of students.

Qualifications

• Be 21 years of age.
• Ability to pass a physical exam every two years.
• Comply with a background check.
• Must possessemotional maturity, willingness to cooperate with the aims of the program, respect for children and adults, flexibility, patience, good personal hygiene, and physical and mental health which does not interfere with responsibilities.
• Must have good verbal communication skills and visual ability to observe children. Ability to fulfill responsibilities under pressure, including during emergencies.
