Job summary

Eaton in Greenwood, SC is seeking a Sub-Assembly Pans, Technician I, 1st Shift. You will create name plates from drawings, maintain productivity records, and support engineering and supervision in a Lean manufacturing setting.

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Sub-Assembly Pans, Technician I, 1st Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $18.11 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive plan.

CORE HOURS: Monday through Thursday (5:00AM until 3:00PM).

What you’ll do:

• Work to manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, written or oral instruction from supervisor or engineering and to established procedures in order to create correct name plates for units.
• Fill out productivity and 5S sheets daily.
• Maintain minimum levels of Kanban inventory and report shortages, defects, and updates to appropriate operators and supervisors.
• Respond to change notices, customer requested adjustments, and development needs.
• Assist engineering, drafting, and supervision with customer-initiated development work.

Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MinimUm of three (3) months of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Minimum of three (3) months of experience using hand and air tools.
• South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent

Position Criteria:

• Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs.
• Utilize various hand and power tools, step ladder and crane to assemble and verify quality in a Lean environment.
• Must be able to use standard computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook/Teams and job specific programs such as ENOVIA.

Physical Demands (with or without reasonable accommodation):

• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands for handling and material manipulation
• Frequently required to stoop, lift, carry, push, and pull.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and push/pull 50 lbs. or more
• May be required to operate material‑handling equipment, including powered industrial vehicles.
• Must meet vision requirements, including near and far vision, depth perception, and color discrimination.

Work Environment

• Regular exposure to noise and frequent exposure to dust in a manufacturing environment.
