Job summary

Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division seeks a Panel Layout Technician II, G2 at 517 Puckett Ferry Road, Greenwood, SC. Base pay is $20.00 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. Core hours are Mon-Thu 4:30 pm–1:30 am and Fri 3:30 pm–7:30 pm, with training on day shift for ~90 days.

Eligible for a variable pay incentive program. Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, completing quality and production checklists, wiring and mounting electrical equipment, and training teammates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Able to use hand and air tools safely.
• 1 year of industrial manufacturing experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• No immigration sponsorship or relocation benefits offered; within 50-mile radius of Greenwood, SC.

Responsibilities

• Work from manufacturing drawings and supervisor instructions to established procedures.
• Fill ISO, quality and customer checklists and production lists.
• Mount and install electrical equipment and perform wire operations.
• Lift and assemble heavy copper parts.
• Report shortages to Kanban operators.
• Inspect assemblies for hardware and cleanliness.
• Respond to changes and development needs; support engineering and drafting.
• Train and coach colleagues for knowledge transfer.

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Panel Layout, Technician II, G2 Location at our new facility located at 517 Puckett Ferry Road in Greenwood, SC

The rate for this position is $20.00 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. The core hours are Monday through Thursday from 4:30 pm until 1:30 am and Friday from 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm. Please note that during the first approximately 90 days, training will take place on first shift hours.

This position is eligible for a variable pay incentive program.

What you’ll do:

• Work to manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, written or oral instruction from supervisor or team lead to established procedures.
• Fill out ISO checklists, quality checklists, customer checklists, feedback forms, and production lists for supervision, drafting, customer service, and engineering as required.
• Mount and install electrical equipment and perform wire operations as needed.
• Regularly lift and assemble with heavy copper parts.
• Report shortages to appropriate operators of Kanban inventory.
• Inspect all assemblies for loose or missing hardware and cleanliness.
• Respond to change notices, customer requested adjustments, and development needs.
• Assist engineering, drafting, and supervision with customer-initiated development work.
• Train and coach colleagues to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Skilled in the knowledge and safe use of hand and air tools.
• 1 year of industrial manufacturing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent

• Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs.
• Utilize various hand and power tools, step ladder and crane to assemble and verify quality in a Lean environment.
• Must be able to use standard computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook/Teams and job specific programs such as ENOVIA.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands for handling and feeling.
• Frequently required to stoop, lift, carry, push, and pull.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and push/pull 50 lbs. or more with or without accommodation
• Vision requirements include near and far vision, depth perception, and color discrimination.
