Job summary

Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana, seeks a seasonal Spa Stylist to deliver hair and spa services to Members and guests during the winter season (November–April).

You will greet clients professionally, recommend styles, perform haircuts, styling, treatments, and retail product sales while maintaining a clean work area and upholding safety standards in a private club setting.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent plus two years’ experience in a similar environment.
MT Cosmetology license preferred.
Valid MT Driver’s License; basic computer skills; willing to be trained on spa/salon software.

Responsibilities

Greet Members and guests professionally and provide hair styling and spa services.
Review hair style options and perform haircuts, styling, chemical services and scalp treatments.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitize tools; stock supplies as needed.
Demonstrate and sell hair care and spa products.

Yellowstone Club's Spa department is currently seeking candidates for a Stylist for the upcoming Winter season! Our Winter employment months are November – April.

Major Responsibilities

Ensure that each Member and guest receives outstanding service in a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every Member and guest, maintaining outstanding service standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service.
Empowered to guarantee total Member satisfaction, display hospitality and professionalism to our Members at all times, take pride in representing Yellowstone Club professionally with our Members and guests and assure that all transactions are handled in a legal and ethical manner.
Understand and apply all property safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for team members, Members, and guests at all times. In the event of an accident or emergency, seek medical attention if necessary and contact the Assistant General Manager or Human Resources immediately.
Maintain a favorable working relationship with all Yellowstone Club team members to foster and promote a positive working environment.

Review and make hair style recommendations to members based on hair and physical characteristics.
Provide scalp/hair treatments such as haircuts, styling, chemical services and therapeutic hair and scalp treatments for members.
Greet and treat Members and guests in a professional and friendly manner.
At the beginning of each shift, check all supplies to ensure adequate stock; replenish from the stock room as necessary.
Maintain the cleanliness of the work area and sanitize all tools such as scissors and combs.
Demonstrate and sell hair care and other salon products and spa treatments.

Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.

Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities are used often.
Basic math skills are used frequently.

Ability to solve basic problems and/or know when it is necessary to get a manager to assist in problem solving.
