About Straub Collaborative

Behind every great product image is a team that brings it to life. Straub Collaborative is a creative production studio specializing in e-commerce photography and visual content. Our work brings together creative talent, production expertise, and the business operations that keep it all moving. We value collaboration, high-quality work, and an inclusive workplace.

About The Role

As a Stylist, you'll execute on-figure styling - translating creative direction and brand guidelines into clean, consistent, camera-ready looks. You'll work closely with photographers, art directors, and production teams to keep shoots moving efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality across every shot.

Why This Role

This role is equal parts creative execution and operational discipline, ideal for someone who thrives on both. You'll style for leading retail brands alongside an experienced team of photographers, art directors, and production professionals. It's an opportunity to grow your on-figure styling skills in a fast-paced, high-volume studio environment.

What You'll Do

  • Style products across mannequins, models, laydowns, and lifestyle imagery
  • Style apparel and accessories to align with brand guidelines and creative direction
  • Execute on-figure styling across high-volume shoots with speed and consistency
  • Manage model changes and transitions between looks
  • Maintain visual accuracy across shots (fit, drape, proportion, styling details)
  • Stay highly engaged on repetitive shoots while maintaining quality standards
  • Identify opportunities to improve speed, consistency, and workflow on set
Pre-Production & Shoot Preparation
  • Complete pre-shoot prep including product organization, steaming, footwear styling, and mannequin setup
  • Partner with production, photographers, and studio leadership to align on shoot plans
  • Build and document styling standards, references, and guides
  • Contribute to pre-production meetings and post-shoot reviews
  • Assist in training team members on styling standards and best practices
Wardrobe, Props & Inventory
  • Build and manage wardrobe pulls, accessories, and props
  • Maintain styling inventory (mannequins, props, tools) and flag repair/replacement needs
  • Ensure prep areas, on-set zones, and storage remain clean and organized
  • Support product flow throughout the studio lifecycle
Workflow & Studio Operations
  • Maintain pacing to meet production timelines without sacrificing quality
  • Communicate clearly on product readiness, styling needs, and issues
  • Support continuous improvement of studio processes and workflows
Administrative & Project Support
  • Support shipping, returns, and product tracking as needed
  • Adhere to studio processes across the full production lifecycle
What You Bring
  • Background in fashion, merchandising, or photography (formal education or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in styling, visual merchandising, studio production, or related roles
  • Strong eye for styling, proportion, and product presentation
  • Ability to work quickly without sacrificing consistency or quality
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Clear communication and collaborative working style
  • Adaptability in fast-paced, high-volume production environments
Preferred
  • Experience in e-commerce or studio production environments
  • Proficiency with Mac OS, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and web-based systems
Work Environment

Work is performed primarily on an active commercial photography studio and production warehouse floor. The environment includes bright studio lighting, flash photography, strobe equipment, and occasional low-light setup areas. The workspace involves navigating open production zones, styling bays, and wardrobe racks alongside active camera crews, art directors, and studio equipment.

Physical Requirements

Work involves standing and moving throughout a studio or warehouse environment for extended periods, including walking and navigating production floor areas safely. Frequent use of hands is required for styling tasks such as steaming, pinning, tagging, and prepping products. The role requires lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials up to 50 pounds as needed, as well as the ability to receive and communicate information effectively in a production setting. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
