Job summary

Charles River is seeking a Study Support Technician II to join our Insourcing Solutions team, located in Boston, MA. You will provide study support and world class animal care that impacts drug development and discovery and improve human health.

Additional responsibilities include collaboration with researchers, performing procedures per protocols, documenting data, animal health checks, handling, peri‑operative care, and in‑vivo procedures such as compound administration and blood sampling.

Qualifications

• Required: High School diploma/GED
• Preferred: BS in Biology or related in vivo field
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Research in vivo field
• AAALAS certification

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with researchers.
• Conduct laboratory procedures in compliance with established protocols/plans and with regulatory and laboratory requirements.
• Document experimental data including activities undertaken, existing conditions, observed results and variation from expected data patterns.
• Perform animal health checks, animal handling, assist in surgery with pre, post and peri‑operative care, and provide husbandry oversite.
• Perform in‑vivo procedures including but not limited to: Compound Administration (IV, IP, PO, SQ); In‑Life Blood Sampling; Necropsy Sampling and Tissue Collection.
