Job summary

Math and Science Academy is seeking a Study Hall Monitor to supervise students during before-school hours and study hall periods, helping create a welcoming, organized learning environment.

The role is part-time, based on the school calendar, averaging about 26.5 hours per week with specific daily times. Compensation is $18.00–$23.00 per hour, non-exempt, with a generous benefits package and PTO.

Qualifications

• Friendly, approachable personality.
• Previous experience working with children or in a school setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish rapport with students and act as a professional role model.
• Supervise students during before-school coverage and scheduled study hall periods.
• Maintain an orderly, focused learning environment by redirecting off-task behavior.
• Ensure students remain engaged and use study time productively.
• Revise study hall procedures or seating as needed for health, safety, or behavior management.
• Assist students with transitions between study periods and activities.
• Address questions and communicate concerns through appropriate channels.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Administration.
