Who You Are

The Admissions Advisor will support the Institutional Relations team by serving as the first point of contact for students applying to CIEE’s university study abroad programs. Successful candidates will advise students on program options and the application process, working closely with Managers and other Advisors. Providing outstanding service and creative problem-solving is essential.

What You’ll Do

  • Advise students on appropriate programs based on their studies and interests.
  • Manage a high volume of emails, texts, and calls, addressing questions, solving problems, and directing inquiries appropriately. Respond to inquiries within 24 hours.
  • Follow up promptly with prospective students to support and assess their level of commitment, and inform them about programs throughout the application process.
  • Collaborate with Institutional Relations managers to support partner institutions and develop strategies to serve their students. Meet application and conversion targets set by leadership.
  • Support on-campus student engagement activities as directed.
  • Attend training to stay updated on program and company updates.
  • Upsell/cross-sell products and services, such as internships, when opportunities arise.
  • Document interactions and update customer records in the CRM system.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales or customer service.
  • Study abroad experience strongly preferred.
  • High emotional quotient (EQ); approachable, empathetic, and composed in communication.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, showing initiative and openness to feedback.
  • Willingness to travel 5-10 times annually to partner institutions for support and outreach activities.
