As Event Security Manager for Amazon MGM Studios, Prime Video, and other Media & Entertainment properties, you will be instrumental in ensuring world-class security operations across our high-profile live events worldwide. This role combines strategic security planning with hands-on event management, focusing on protecting our talent, customers, vendors, and associates while delivering seamless event experiences.

Key job responsibilities
• Develop customized security plans for large events, as well as, smaller private Studios functions.
• Implement and present safety and security plans to senior company leadership.
• Ensure the delivery of high standard, professional security service across the events.
• Collaborate proactively with Amazon Studios and third-party production key stakeholders in the design and development of physical security operations.
• Maintain compliance with Amazon Content, Legal and Risk requirements in line with Amazon Policy.
• Manage and report incidents, prepare statements and follow up on reports in accordance with Amazon Policy.
• Mange proprietary and contract security personnel, law enforcement operations, customer services and medical personnel.
• Conduct and oversee event security assessment program and leverage external and internal partners for timely threat/risk assessment evaluations and response.
• Support event, marketing, and public relation departments while maintaining security standards.
• Manage budget, payment accounts and balances; initiate correspondence as necessary to ensure timely payment (in accordance with the contracts). Produce budget reporting, backup information and contracts to accounts.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Event Management, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and 10+ years experience in large-scale event security operations.

• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing security operations for high-profile events, concerts, festivals, or similar mass gatherings.

• Demonstrated experience in crowd management, risk assessment, emergency response planning, and VIP protection.

• Proven track record in coordinating with law enforcement, emergency services, production teams, and venue management.

• Experience with modern event security technologies, including digital credentialing, CCTV operations, and crowd monitoring systems.

• Strong background in security staff management, including scheduling, training, and deployment for large-scale events.

• Experience developing and implementing comprehensive event security plans, including access control, emergency response, and crisis management protocols.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to C-suite executives and drafting comprehensive security reports.

• Demonstrated ability to make critical decisions in high-pressure environments while maintaining operational effectiveness.

• Knowledge of current event security best practices, including counter-terrorism measures and active threat response protocols.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the year, including short-notice deployments and extended assignments.

• Demonstrated track record of handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality in high-profile entertainment environments.

• Experience in film and television production security, including set protection, talent security, and location management.

• Proven expertise in managing security for red carpet events, premieres, awards shows, and high-visibility public gatherings.

• Proficiency in collecting and analyzing event security data to identify trends, optimize operations, and enhance safety protocols.

• Experience with VIP protection protocols and managing media-sensitive environments.

• Demonstrated cultural awareness and proven ability to work effectively across diverse international environments and multicultural settings.

• Strong cross-cultural communication skills with experience navigating international business protocols and customs.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $79,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $170,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
