Human Resources Manager

Job Description

As we continue our rapid growth journey, we are looking to add a Manager of Human Resources as a key member of our leadership team, reporting to the President of Studio TK. The Manager of Human Resources will be responsible for facilitating and executing our overall people and culture strategy, ensuring we have the right talent, processes, and procedures across our entire business. This is an excellent opportunity to shape the future of Studio TK as it continues to grow.

We are an integrated business, so this role will span multiple disciplines. We seek a leader experienced in working in dynamic environments, with expertise in manufacturing, marketing, product development, and sales from a Human Resources perspective.

What does this role do?

  1. Develops and communicates workplace policies and programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, performance appraisals, equal employment opportunities, compliance, and employee relations. Develop strategies that align with Studio TK's overall business objectives.
  2. Partner with multiple Human Resources departments across the Teknion network to ensure collaboration on new ventures or shared policies.
  3. Support the maintenance and compliance of human resources information systems and payroll systems.
  4. Plan and direct staffing and organizational activities, including recruitment, screening, interviewing, testing, background checks, managing recruiters, and the job offer process. Manage recruiting costs, internal posting systems, and organizational charts.
  5. Maintain a list of open roles with clear understanding of budget and timing.
  6. Consult legal counsel to ensure policies and practices comply with applicable laws.
  7. Be a lead ambassador of our culture and shared values.
  8. Manage the design and delivery of training programs, especially for manufacturing team members.
  9. Analyze and develop compensation strategies, including annual increases, salary ranges, and promotions.
  10. Serve as a member of the senior leadership team, providing guidance on all HR-related matters.

What is required for this role?

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field; 5-7 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
  2. PHR, SHRM, or similar certification preferred.
  3. Knowledge of employment law at local, state, and federal levels.
  4. Experience developing HR policies for a multi-state organization.
  5. Benefits design experience.
  6. Ability to work effectively at all organizational levels.
  7. Supervisory experience with professional and clerical staff.
  8. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
