Job Title: Studio Technician (Part-Time) - WSB TV



Position Overview

Atlanta WSB TV is looking for a part-time Studio Technician that wants a foot in the door to television news production. This person will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Producer and/or the Director for all show production needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Stage and manage the daily newscasts

  • Check all floor equipment and set pieces for proper operation and visual aesthetics

  • Responsible for studio lighting, general maintenance, and wireless microphone batteries

  • Run scripts and news updates to and from the newsroom and studio

  • Operate teleprompter and Vinten robotic cameras

  • Assist with public service and commercial production

  • Assist in other News department projects as needed

  • Manage the studio floor for live and recorded programming

  • Contribute to digital and radio platforms as needed

  • Schedule may include nights, weekends, and or holidays

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1 year of broadcast, film or editing experience

  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems

  • Detail oriented

  • Familiarity with computers and basic digital programs

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, moving bulky set pieces, climbing ladders as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of college preferred

  • Live television experience preferred
