Job summary

soona is seeking a temporary full-time Stylist in Minneapolis to support on-set styling, collaborating with photographers, hair/makeup artists, models and clients to deliver the desired look.

In this on-site role, you will report to the Crew Lead. The position is salaried and benefit-eligible for at least six months and may transition to permanent, reflecting our fast-paced startup environment and commitment to speed and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience styling across sets including wardrobe and props.
• 2+ years in high-touch client management.
• 4+ years in photo/video production.
• Experience with ecommerce photography; Amazon experience is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with photographers, hair/makeup artists and models to achieve client vision.
• Support onboarding and training of contract stylists.
• Communicate feedback to internal teams and clients to improve outcomes.
• Navigate fast-paced startup environments while balancing speed and quality.

About the FT Stylist

With a passion for aesthetics, the soona stylist has a creative eye and can create any desired look for our clients.

Our stylists achieve the client’s vision by collaborating with the photographer and using the set, product and props to achieve the client’s vision. The stylist’s point of view, execution and response to client feedback is critical to the success of the project. soona’s brand promise is to deliver high-quality assets via a quicker pace than standard commercial production – stylists can balance the speed and quality output. They are experienced with a variety of production sets and can style across all industries, primarily food/beverage, cosmetics, apparel, complex products, from ecommerce to editorial.

On top of styling on set, stylists collaborate closely with producers, creatives, and clients to support client satisfaction and account expansion. They partner with operations to help identify opportunities to better shape our onboarding and training processes for the Collective.

This is a temporary full time position located in Minneapolis and reports to the Crew Lead. This role will be salaried and benefit-eligible for at least six months and could transition to a permanent role.

An ideal candidate:

• Has experience working with enterprise clients and high-value/volume accounts


• Can understand and translate client requests from a shotlist to successful approved asset


• Has strength in navigating high-pressure sets which might include conflicting client feedback, tight timelines or complex products


• Has worked closely with photographers, hair & makeup artists, models (humans and animals) to produce a desired look


• Understands the soona process and brand promise to deliver on both speed and quality


• Communicates with the internal teams regularly to share feedback and discuss ways to improve


• Can help onboard, coach, and collaborate with contract stylists in the soona process


• Thrives in a fast-pace, ever-changing startup environment

Has experience in:

• Set, wardrobe, prop, and food styling


• 2+ years experience with high-touch client management and collaboration


• 4+ years in photo and video production


• E-commerce photography standards, Amazon-specific experience is a plus


• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written

We can offer:

• Starting salary range: $77,000 - $90,000
