Position Overview:
As a Studio Manager (SM), you will lead and direct the sales and group personal training teams in our facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of sales and operational excellence, with a focus on implementing lead generation and marketing strategies to boost fitness program sales and promote health and wellness benefits. The SM should exemplify high standards in coaching and staff development.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage and exceed all sales and operational budgets.
- Lead and coordinate sales initiatives such as pre-sale events, studio events, and outreach programs.
- Oversee the sales process and systems.
- Manage, coach, and evaluate all related staff and managers.
- Ensure compliance with OTF business policies and daily operations.
- Handle recruitment, onboarding, training, and scheduling of staff.
- Optimize class sizes through effective scheduling.
- Create a high-energy culture through contests and incentives.
- Lead by example in all studio activities.
- Mentor staff for ongoing success and growth.
- Maintain brand consistency in all actions.
- Empower and monitor responsibilities of sales and fitness teams.
- Manage disciplinary actions as needed.
- Achieve performance metrics, including KPIs, revenue, inventory, payroll, and facility maintenance.
- Drive sales through outreach programs and promotional activities.
Operational Duties:
- Conduct 30-60-90 day and annual staff performance reviews.
- Enforce corporate policies, practices, and systems.
- Ensure proper functioning of front desk systems, including member check-in, inquiries, guest registration, cash handling, and documentation.
- Maintain high customer service standards and resolve customer issues effectively.
- Plan and promote monthly special events for community engagement.
- Ensure the facility is clean, maintained, and operationally sound.
Job Qualifications:
- Proven sales leadership experience is REQUIRED.
- Excellent leadership and management skills to foster a positive environment.
- Minimum 2-3 years of sales and management experience, including staff oversight.
- Experience in the health & fitness industry is strongly preferred.
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask and address client and staff concerns.
- Proficiency in MS Office programs (Excel, Word).
- Degree in business or related field with 3+ years of management experience is preferred.
- Ability to work in a team environment and flexible hours, including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Passion for fitness and health is highly preferred.
