Ford Motor Company is seeking a Studio Design Engineer in Long Beach, CA. This hybrid position requires four days onsite weekly and involves leading design feasibility studies, coordinating cross-functional inputs, and delivering surface and theme development for next-generation design concepts.

You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to integrate inputs, develop physical and digital models, and present to decision-makers.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering is required.
• 3+ years of proven experience in complete vehicle layout/package, including Body and Trim.
• 1+ years of experience in Catia V5 or 3DX.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Studio property setup, ensuring data pedigree, ride height, manikin drop, and overall suitability.
• Guide design development from FC0 to K6 and integrate plans into the surface.
• Integrate A-surface with thematic, VA, functional, and attribute inputs while maintaining emotive character.
• Develop and maintain Surface Scaffold files for physical and digital models.
• Provide concept alternatives to reconcile thematic intent with functional and program assumptions.
• Lead optimization of inputs to the studio to support the theme vision.
