Job summary

Maslow Media Group, a leading staffing partner for media and production, seeks a Studio Broadcast Engineer in Princeton, NJ, onsite. You will manage live broadcasts, configure routing, and supervise production systems to ensure flawless events.

You will test workflows before events, monitor live streams, and troubleshoot in real time. The role involves operating LTA workflows, coordinating with teams, and maintaining broadcast hardware and assets.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Configure routing, video switchers, Stream Decks, and production systems for live events.
• Build and test SuperSource layouts and production workflows.
• Perform rehearsal broadcasts and QA prior to events.
• Configure multiview layouts for on-air talent and control room.
• Verify signal flow and system readiness across broadcast components.
• Identify and resolve issues before production impact.
• Operate Live-to-Air workflows while managing remote participants.
• Monitor live streams for audio and video quality.
• Coordinate audience Q&A with production teams.
• Broadcast to designated streaming destinations with backup paths.
• Troubleshoot issues to minimize disruptions during live productions.
• Generate attendance and engagement reports.
• Organize production data for internal distribution.
• Upload reports/assets to Microsoft Teams.
• Assist with equipment teardown, inventory, and storage.
• Prepare production spaces for upcoming events.
• Create broadcast links and production communications.
• Maintain schedules, checklists, and SOPs.

What You’ll Do

Before the Broadcast

• Configuring routing, video switchers, Stream Decks, and production systems for live events.
• Building and testing SuperSource layouts and production workflows.
• Performing rehearsal broadcasts and technical quality assurance prior to every event.
• Configuring production multiview layouts for both on‑air talent and the control room.
• Verifying signal flow, routing, and system readiness across all broadcast components.
• Identifying and resolving technical issues before they impact production.

During Live Productions

You’ll Help Deliver Seamless Broadcasts By

• Operating Live‑to‑Air (LTA) workflows while managing multiple remote participants.
• Monitoring live streams to ensure exceptional audio and video quality.
• Managing audience Q&A workflows and coordinating communication with production teams.
• Broadcasting events to designated streaming destinations while maintaining backup transmission paths for uninterrupted delivery.
• Troubleshooting technical issues quickly to minimize disruptions during live productions.

After Every Event

You’ll Help Close Productions Efficiently By

• Generating attendance and engagement reports.
• Cleaning and organizing production data for internal distribution.
• Uploading reports and production assets to Microsoft Teams.
• Assisting with equipment teardown, inventory, and proper storage.
• Preparing production spaces for upcoming events.

Studio Operations & Equipment Management

• Creating and distributing broadcast links and production communications.
• Maintaining production schedules, checklists, and standard operating procedures.
• Managing equipment inventory, organization, and cable management.
• Performing routine maintenance, updates, and testing on broadcast hardware, laptops, rack equipment, and production systems.
• Supporting conference rooms and meeting spaces with pre‑event technical checks.
• Assisting with special corporate events, including audio/video setups in common spaces.
• Staying current with emerging broadcast technologies, production software, and industry best practices while recommending improvements to workflows and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications Include

• Professional experience supporting live broadcasts, studio operations, or broadcast engineering environments.
• Working knowledge of broadcast signal flow, routing, switching, and streaming technologies.
• Experience with live production control rooms and multi‑camera broadcast workflows.
• Familiarity with video switchers, streaming platforms, production routing, and multiview systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure during live events.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to support multiple productions simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team‑oriented approach.
• Passion for learning new broadcast technologies and continuously improving production workflows.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $83,000

At Maslow, we are committed to equitable and market-aligned compensation practices. The salary range provided represents the good‑faith compensation band we anticipate for this role at the time of posting.

Individual compensation within this range will be determined based on a comprehensive evaluation of factors including, but not limited to: relevant education, professional experience, demonstrated competencies, technical expertise, certifications, scope of responsibility, geographic considerations, applicable regulatory requirements, and overall business needs.

We take a holistic approach to compensation, ensuring alignment with both market benchmarks and internal equity.
