Job summary

Millersville University’s Tutoring Center is hiring Student Workers to provide math tutoring for the 2026-2027 academic year. The role supports individual and group sessions in Math, with up to 20 hours per week at a starting pay of $10.00 per hour.

No prior tutoring experience is required; after completing 10 tutoring hours, Tutor Training Level 1 and Level 2 are offered, with pay increases after each level. Clearances must be completed before work begins.

Qualifications

• Tutors must have earned a B+ or higher in the courses they tutor.
• Must complete the three required clearances: PA Criminal Background, Child Abuse, FBI Fingerprint.
• No prior tutoring experience required.

Responsibilities

• Contacting individual tutees and arranging sessions.
• Maintaining records for group tutoring sessions.
• Preparing for tutoring sessions.
• Report hours and attendance via email to the Tutoring Center and Learning Services.
