Position Title: Student Worker: Science Outreach Facilitator

Supervisor: Mary Jean Lynch (Chair, Dept. of Psychology & Neuroscience)

Description of Job Duties

• Facilitate science inquiry activities and other science demonstrations
• Interact with 4th and 5th grade girls during a Saturday morning program (5-6 consecutive sessions)
• Work with a peer to facilitate the program
• Engage in weekly training sessions (1-2 hours)
• Serve as a role model

Job Qualifications

• Successful completion of SCIE 109 Science Inquiry
• Successful completion of a North Central biology course
• Elementary education major
• Experience with elementary school age children
