Nature & Purpose of Position

The Department of Physical Therapy is seeking two undergraduate Research Assistants (RAs) to join Dr. Sambit Mohapatra’s lab at the Conroe campus. This is a paid, in-person position supporting a New Faculty Program research project on chronic dizziness.

Project Overview

Selected RAs will collaborate on a research project on Chronic Dizziness. Responsibilities include operating laboratory equipment, collecting data, monitoring participant safety, assisting with final research reports, and contributing to manuscript preparation.

Position Details

• Location: Conroe, TX
• Department: Kinesiology or Health Sciences (preferred)
• Commitment: 10 hours weekly, in person
• Project Period: June 1, 2026 to May 31, 2027

Key Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with computer coding to support data analysis and programming troubleshooting
• Familiarity with operating equipment such as eye tracking, force platforms, motion capture, and EMG recording systems.
