Job summary

University of Georgia is seeking a Student Worker-Medical Equipment Assistant to support the Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Athens. You will assist with inventory control, prepare old equipment for surplus, disinfect, and log information for processing.

In your role, you will help move equipment to the Equipment Office, assist with repairs and shipping preparations, and support the Equipment Manager with organizing overstock and on-site maintenance activities during regular weekday hours.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with inventory control and preparing old equipment for surplus. This shall entail proper disinfection of old equipment, and recording of requested information to process items for surplus.
  • Work within the Veterinary Teaching Hospital to help ensure broken equipment makes its way to the Equipment Office for processing.
  • Process and log equipment to send for repair. Package equipment for shipping or pick up.
  • Assist Equipment Manager with organizing and labeling equipment overstock in the Equipment Office.
  • Assist vendors that are on-site for preventative maintenance and repairs to travel throughout the VTH into secured areas.
  • Other duties as assigned by Equipment Manager.
