Job summary

Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction invites applications for a student staff position at the Checkout & Reserves Desk of the university library. You will provide excellent customer service, check in/out books and other materials, and help patrons with technology.

Hired hours are flexible around class schedules; completion of D2L modules and in-person training is required.

Job Description

Do you like spending time in the library? Are you an early riser? Or are evenings more your speed? We have the job for you! This position is for the Checkout & Reserves desk. Student staff provide excellent customer service at the Checkout & Reserves Desk, check in/out books and other materials, assist patrons with technology (computers/scanners), retrieve library materials, reserve study rooms, help opening and closing the Library, keeping logs and stats, and doing special projects. Attention to detail and a friendly, helpful attitude is a must! All new hires are required to satisfactorily complete our D2L modules as well as a paid in-person training.

Hired hours available are from 15 minutes before to 15 minutes after normal library hours. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
