LIU is seeking a Concessions Assistant for the Pratt Recreation Center at LIU. This role supports operations, serves food and beverages, and maintains a clean, safe, welcoming environment for patrons.

You will work closely with the Concessions team, follow health protocols, use the POS system, and assist with opening/closing procedures. Flexible hours including weekends and evenings are required.

Job Description

FWS Concessions Assistant Position

Basic Function And Scope Of Responsibilities

This position is for a Concessions Assistant at the Pratt Recreation Center. This position is responsible for providing a clean, safe & welcoming environment for all patrons. The Concessions Assistant works closely with the other Concessions Assistants, the Concessions Supervisor and the Director of Campus Recreation. The responsibilities of this position include serving food and drinks, following and enforcing food safety protocols and managing all equipment to ensure equipment and food areas are sanitized, organized, and operating properly.

Responsibilities

• Handle and serve food and drinks to customers.
• Ensure the concession stand remains clean and sanitary.
• Utilize a POS system for sales.
• Adhere to Long Island University policies.
• Act in a professional manner by upholding LIU Policy when involved in conflict management with patrons, students, & staff.
• Perform opening/closing procedures of the concession stand.
