Job summary

Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT is seeking a School of Communications Podcast Studio Production Assistant. This Federal Work-Study position supports the operation of the university's podcast studio in the CCE building and the Dome, assisting podcasters with setup and basic engineering tasks.

You will help with live-mixing sound, camera switching, mic setup, and Adobe Audition, while ensuring studio rules are followed and helping maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications

Knowledge of audio and video recording processes and software.
Working knowledge of Hyperdeck Blackmagic switchers, general camera operation.
Understanding of podcasting and podcast culture.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to think and act independently.

Responsibilities

Monitors the Quinnipiac University Podcast studio in the CCE building and/or the Dome
Works with podcasters to maintain the room’s cleanliness and orderliness
Assists podcasters with engineering podcasts (live-mixing sound, camera switching, setting up mics, setting up Adobe Audition).
Ensures podcasters comply with studio rules
Other related duties as needed
