Job summary

South Louisiana Community College is seeking a Student Federal Work Study employee in the Academic & Student Affairs department to provide front-line support and administrative assistance. Responsibilities include delivering excellent service to future homeowners, volunteers, and team members, and assisting with day-to-day operations.

The role requires current enrollment as a SoLAcc student (six credits minimum per term) and passing a criminal background screen.

Qualifications

• Applicant must be a current SoLAcc student, enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.
• Must pass a criminal background screen.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent service to future homeowners, volunteers, and team members.
• Support day-to-day operations with general administrative tasks.
• Communicate professionally via phone, email, and in person.
• Help with special projects -- independently and as part of a team.
• Build skills in time management, teamwork, professionalism, and communication.
• Handle confidential information with maturity and care.
