Job summary

UM-Flint is seeking Student Wellness Ambassadors to promote holistic well-being on campus through outreach and peer education. Working with the Wolverine Well-being Educator, ambassadors will be trained to deliver health information and support across the student community.

Ideal candidates are UM-Flint students passionate about health and wellness, eager to impact campus life, and prepared to engage in presentations, events, and collaboration with campus partners to connect peers with wellness

Qualifications

• UM-Flint undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing.

Responsibilities

• Complete training to serve as a peer educator.
• Assist the Well-being Educator in developing and delivering presentations, workshops and tabling events on wellness topics (nutrition, sleep hygiene, mental health, sexual health, substance abuse prevention, financial wellness, social connectedness).
• Assist with development and distribution of wellness materials (flyers, social media content, digital campaigns).
• Participate in campus-wide events (Week of Wellness, Resource fairs, Orientation) to promote wellness initiatives.
• Collaborate with student organizations, campus departments, and community partners to support programs and events.
• Communicate information about campus and community wellness resources.
• Assist students in navigating and accessing appropriate support services.
• Support evaluation of wellness programs by gathering student feedback and contributing to improvements.
• Demonstrate a personal commitment to well-being and foster a campus culture of wellness.
