Elevo seeks a dedicated Student Mentor to support elementary and middle school students with chronic absenteeism. You will build trusting relationships, support goal setting, and collaborate with school staff to reinforce attendance and engagement.

The role emphasizes restorative practices, data-informed progress, and safe, reliable mentorship within the school day. The position requires a minimum of one year working with students, 18+ years old, and a high school diploma or GED.

Formación

• Minimum 1 year experience working with students.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Certification pathways for Certified Wellness Coach (CWC) are offered, with education or experience hours to qualify.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as a safe, supportive adult at school to meet attendance expectations and engage the community.
• Engage with students during recess and lunch to organize and facilitate activities.
• Meet regularly with students to set short and long-term goals and teach strategies for responsible decision making and self-management.
• Assist with coregulation and de-escalation using restorative practices to foster insight.
• Regularly monitor progress and share data with school staff as directed by the administrator.
• Provide a warm handoff to district staff for students in crisis; no counseling.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
