Grand Canyon Education, Inc. is seeking a Student Video Production Assistant to support the Marketing and Multimedia team by helping produce video content for client shoots and GCU events.

You will work with a team of videography professionals, assist with on-set duties, learn gear setup, shoot on location, and hand footage to post-production.

This entry-level role requires a full-time student, flexibility to work evenings and weekends, and a willingness to lift gear.

Qualifications

• Must be a full-time student in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program at GCU.
• Basic videography knowledge and ability to operate a camera at live events.
• Familiarity with video editing software: DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere.
• Able to lift 25–50 lbs of gear and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist full-time staff on video projects as crew (gaffer, grip, audio, PA) or extras.
• Solo or team on-location filming for interviews or b-roll.
• Learn on-set procedures: safety, gear prep, camera and lighting operations.
• Make and upload selects for the post-production team.
• Organize and update inventory of studio gear and assets.
• Evenings and weekends work required.
