Job summary

Casa Grande Elementary School District Transportation is seeking a Substitute Van Driver to transport students on scheduled routes and field trips, ensuring safe operation of vehicles and student safety during loading and unloading.

The role requires English communication, basic reporting, and ability to perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections. This is a non-benefited substitute position with hours subject to district need.

Qualifications

• Experience desired.
• Alcohol and Drug Test requirement.
• Criminal justice fingerprint/background clearance.
• Random Drug Testing.
• Ability to read, write and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Advises students and passengers of appropriate behavior.
• Assesses incidents, complaints, accidents and safety situations.
• Assists students and passengers; attends meetings and trainings.
• Cleans assigned vehicles; conducts emergency drills.
• Drives school van(s) and fuels vehicles as needed.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Prepares reports and logs (field trip, incidents, mileage, counts).
• Reports observations and incidents; responds to inquiries.
• Supervises students during transit.
• Assists other personnel as required.
