Southwestern Community College seeks a Student Tutor to provide free tutorial services for SCC courses. The role supports student learning, adapts teaching methods, and works with individuals or groups, online or face-to-face. It is a part-time, non-exempt position for current SCC students.
Responsibilities include scheduling, tracking attendance, reporting progress, and coordinating with tutees. Candidates must be SCC students with strong course grades and a recommendation from their instructor.
The primary role of the Student Tutor is to support student learning by providing free tutorial services for requested SCC course(s) in which the Student Tutor has proven academic success. Tutors must have excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse students, as well as have a desire to see students succeed. The Student Tutor may be required to implement instructional activities in both individual and group tutorial sessions both online and face to face. This role is for current SCC students.

Attend professional development and training as established by LAC Director.

Student Tutor - $15/hr
