Job summary

KRISE Transportation, Inc. seeks an Assistant Student Transportation Operations Manager to lead daily operations across facilities, drive engagement, safety and efficiency, and support financial performance.

You will coordinate maintenance, dispatch, training, and communications, while serving as a liaison with school districts and community partners to maintain safe student transportation. The role emphasizes proactive leadership, intrusively reviewing processes, and acting as a business owner

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Three or more years in Student Transportation operations.
• Ability to obtain a CDL with P, S and air brake endorsements and pass a school bus driver physical within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Understand and oversee daily facility operations.
• Regularly meet with staff and drivers to share company mission and gather feedback.
• Engage school district contacts to ensure satisfaction and identify service opportunities.
• Assist with driver recruitment and training to cover daily routes and activities.
• Coach and provide feedback to operations staff and drivers to improve performance.
• Review standard work processes and enforce company policies; coach or take disciplinary action as needed.
• Assist with payroll and financial reporting; help ensure budget targets are met.
• Ensure reporting and information for the School District is provided and compliant.
• Engage with the community to foster relations and support recruiting.
• Identify and implement new technology to improve efficiency and customer focus.
• Maintain credentials to drive a school bus and be prepared to substitute when needed.
• Other duties as assigned
