Auxilio Services seeks a Transportation Manager to supervise daily school bus operations, ensuring safety and compliance with district guidelines. The role emphasizes leadership over drivers, dispatch, and field trips, with a focus on efficiency, service quality, and customer relations.

You will recruit, train, and manage staff, monitor performance metrics, handle payroll, and coordinate routing software while maintaining budgets and responding to emergencies and weather-related closures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• Four years of related pupil transportation experience.
• Two years supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid Driver License required.
• Class B CDL with S and P endorsements required.
• Background check and drug screen.
• DOT Physical and Motor Vehicle Review.
• Knowledge of school system policies and procedures.
• Hands-on management style with ability to motivate and lead others.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
• Reliable, trustworthy in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Transportation employees on a day-to-day basis to meet contracted services.
• Ensure policy compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
• Enforce safety policies and model Auxilio’s safety commitment.
• Maintain driver documentation and coordinate daily trip assignments.
• Facilitate dispatching and analyze trip patterns for run structure revisions.
• Recruit, hire, and train location staff.
• Discipline staff as needed and handle customer complaints investigations.
• Complete daily/weekly reports for company and customer.
• Validate payroll and track attendance; manage overtime and vacations.
• Monitor on-time performance, missed runs, customer complaints, and incident data.
• Support staff performance through training and feedback.
• Maintain district relationships and manage budgets.
• Coordinate with district admins, staff, parents on pupil transportation.
• Respond to emergencies and weather-related transportation issues.
• Manage routing/software for pupil transportation.
• Represent the company in community and school transportation advisory groups.
• Participate in staff meetings and trainings; handle inbound inquiries.
• Maintain personnel files in compliance; may drive a bus route.
• Adhere to FERPA and confidentiality.
