Job summary

STA Family of Companies seeks a Non-CDL Transportation Specialist to operate a van or bus on designated routes, transporting school pupils or clients to and from locations, including private trips.

You will perform safety inspections, supervise students, and follow policies while maintaining discipline and ensuring accurate record-keeping. This role emphasizes safety and reliability in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Valid US driver’s license meeting company standards.
• Ability to work with school pupils/clients including those with disabilities.
• Eligible to work in the US without restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Drive a minivan daily over designated routes following time schedules and load/unload pupils or clients at designated locations and schools.
• Transport school pupils and teachers on school activity trips.
• Perform pre- and post-trip safety inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper working order.
• Conduct a child check immediately after each run.
• Maintain good order and discipline among pupils or clients.
• Follow company policies regarding pupil/client management and relations with parents, teachers and guardians.
• Verify route turn sheets and note changes; may participate in route builds.
• Add directional/landmark notations on route sheets to assist future drivers.
• Observe and track route timing and efficiency; report findings as required.
• Keep records and submit reports as required.
• Sweep, clean and refuel vehicles; report mechanical issues promptly.
• Instruct students on safe riding and conduct evacuation drills as directed.
• Maintain license and medical qualification per company standards; provide current Driver Physical Examination.
