Job summary

Michigan Association of School Boards is seeking a Bus Attendant to support students during transportation and serve as a substitute bus driver when needed. The role requires assisting students with mobility, ensuring safe transport on designated routes, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness and safety.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, a clean driving record, and completion of first aid training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education and experience.
• No more than 6 points on driving record.
• Must complete first aid training courses.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with special needs on and off the vehicle and secure wheelchairs.
• Communicate appropriately with students, parents and staff.
• Clean and disinfect the vehicle and maintain its exterior.
• Substitute for a bus driver and support pre/post-trip responsibilities.
• Administer first aid as required.
• Ensure regular and predictable in-person attendance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
