Job Description: SITS Operations Support

Join the SITS Operations team to support, assure, and manage the technical aspects of the Student Information System (SITS). Your responsibilities include overseeing upgrades, monthly software updates, and ongoing configuration to ensure system stability and resilience aligned with business needs. The team also monitors and supports interfaces to SITS for secure data sharing across services. Collaborate with the SITS Development team and other IDG teams to deliver, support, and enhance the SITS platforms for student engagement, administration, data management, and reporting across the student lifecycle.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Deliver SITS Operations as part of an established team.
2. Support and ensure the performance of SITS:Vision and SITS:eVision platforms to meet university needs.
3. Maintain performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for SITS Operations and related products.
4. Support the upgrade process of SITS, delivering technical aspects of upgrades.
5. Manage all technical aspects of software updates, supporting the update process.
6. Configure SITS ongoing to ensure system stability and resilience, meeting university requirements.
7. Support, monitor, and assure the performance of SITS Batch processes, including incident resolution.
8. Support, monitor, and assure automation processes within SITS, including development, enhancement, and incident resolution.

Essential Skills:

• Relevant domain experience supporting SITS:Vision & SITS:eVision delivery, upgrades, and software updates.
• Strong understanding of SITS delivery, monitoring, upgrade, and software update processes.
• Experience working with internal staff, external suppliers, and customers.
• SITS System Administration skills.
• Organized, professional, with a proactive attitude.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience working within a UK Higher Education Institution.
• Experience delivering business process changes.
• Experience with StuTalk Development.
