Uncommon Schools is seeking staff to assist in classrooms, support teachers, and provide tutoring to students in Newark. The role includes observational learning from Master Teachers and administrative tasks to keep classrooms running smoothly.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with instruction, assessments, grading, and other classroom responsibilities.
• Potentially teach small groups of students.
• Support students with one-on-one and small group tutoring daily.
• Observe Master Teachers to improve instructional techniques and classroom management.
• Provide administrative support (copies, hallway duty, organizing materials).
• Participate in grade-level activities and school functions.
• Serve as advisor to a small group of students.
• Supervise students during transitions and meals.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
