Job summary

Heritage Academy seeks a dedicated staff member to assist faculty in supporting scholars in a friendly, professional manner. Responsibilities include monitoring cafeteria/playground activities, guiding student interactions, and reporting incidents to school personnel.

The role requires High School education, experience with children, and fingerprint clearance. The position emphasizes a courteous, proactive attitude with students, staff, and families in a dynamic school environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to manage small groups of children.
• Ability to work well with students, staff, and parents.
• Ability to enforce school rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with students, parents, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the activities of students in the cafeteria and/or on the playground.
• Counsel and/or intervene with students to ensure acceptable behavior.
• Guide children in working and playing harmoniously with other children.
• Report observations and/or incidents relating to students to appropriate school personnel.
• Respond to emergencies to address safety concerns.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks (clean up spills on tables, floor, etc.).
• Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
• Assist students, parents, and staff to provide safe access to and from school.
