Job summary

The Menta Education Group is seeking a Paraprofessional to support students in the classroom and provide safe transportation to and from school in Illinois. Responsibilities include monitoring behavior, implementing behavioral plans, and ensuring student safety.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license with Passenger Endorsement, and punctual attendance; CDL-B is a plus. This full-time role offers benefits and a chance to contribute to student success.

Qualifications

• Must have Valid Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement.
• CDL-B preferred but not required.
• Age 23 or older.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Paraprofessional Certification ideal but not required.
• Be punctual with good attendance.
• Pass drug and criminal background screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide Paraprofessional support.
• Manage classroom behaviors.
• Provide regular transportation to and from school (and as needed during school hours).
• Report behavioral concerns to staff.
• Implement and maintain behavioral program policies and data.
• Maintain classroom order and safety.
• Assist in prevention/management of incidents of non-compliance.
• Maintain alertness for safety concerns and report them.
• Respond to emergency situations.
• Provide interventions to help students manage behaviors.
• Think quickly, independently, and tactfully.
