Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher, or at least sixty (60) semester hours from an accredited institution of higher education (official transcripts required).
• Experience with school-age children preferred.
• Must pass Expanded Criminal History Check and Expanded Child Protection Index Check; ParaPro Assessment offered free.

Responsibilities

• Monitors activities and behavior of children in the absence of the classroom teacher to ensure safety and conduct.
• Assists teachers in supervising learning activities and provides learning support to students.
• Provides instruction to students as prescribed and reinforces skills introduced by the teacher.
• Checks and evaluates student work and reinforces skills in small groups or individually.
• Manages student behavior and assists in developing classroom activities and learning tools.
• Prepares instructional materials and handles tasks like photocopying and laminating.
