Job summary

Meeting Street Schools is seeking a Student Support Manager in Charleston, SC. In this role, you will lead the implementation of the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework, ensuring that students receive the academic support they need to succeed.

Your leadership will drive student outcomes as you manage a team of specialists and collaborate with teachers and families. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and a preference for candidates with a valid South Carolina Special Education certification.

The starting salary is $70,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • A valid South Carolina Special Education certification strongly preferred.
  • Two years of successful prior experience teaching in a homeroom classroom preferred.

This role is key in developing, implementing, and coordinating Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) programs to promote academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success. Managing a team of specialists (behavior interventionists, Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and counselors), you will drive student outcomes through interventions, progress monitoring, and data-driven decision-making. As part of the school leadership team, you will collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to design and implement supports that are aligned with student data and result in life-changing student outcomes.****Core Responsibilities***** **Program Leadership:** Lead, manage, and support the implementation of the MTSS framework at the school. Work closely with teachers and the student support team to identify students needing additional support and ensure compliance with those who already qualify for support.* **Team Management:** Ensure that a team of interventionists, specialists, and counselors provide high-quality, targeted support to students that lead to instructional gains.* **Partnership Development:** Create strong, trusting partnerships with teachers, students, and families to collaborate on student progress, goals, and intervention.* **Progress Monitoring and Data-Driven Decisions:** Oversee progress monitoring of student data and ensure timely and effective interventions are implemented. Use student data (academic, behavioral, and social-emotional) to drive decision-making for interventions and program improvements.* **Professional Development:** Develop and implement professional development opportunities for the student support team.* **Leadership & School Management:** Actively contribute to school leadership, representing the school to various stakeholders.
