• Maintains knowledge of and interacts with various community programs and services supporting troubled students.
• Maintains accurate attendance records and other reports as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily operations of the in-school suspension program; oversees suspended students' activities and assigns appropriate work.
• Works with guidance counselors, teachers and staff to motivate students to resolve problems affecting performance.
• Intervenes with students in crisis to manage behavior and support academic progress.
• May schedule and participate in parent conferences; may supervise substitute center and after-school detention as needed.
