Clara Bolen Elementary seeks a dedicated Educational Assistant to join our team in a full-time role. The position focuses on supporting students' educational experiences and fostering a positive learning environment.

The Educational Assistant will work closely with teachers to provide individualized support, assist in classroom management, and help implement lesson plans and accommodations. A collaborative and compassionate approach is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or higher is preferred.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support the learning and development of students.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow directions from teachers and administrators.
• Basic proficiency in technology and willingness to learn new educational software and tools.
• Background check clearance as required by school district policies.
• First Aid and CPR certification is a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in the implementation of lesson plans and instructional activities.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, catering to diverse learning needs.
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and participation.
• Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
• Prepare instructional materials and resources to enhance learning experiences.
• Assist with classroom management, including maintaining order and supporting students in following school rules.
• Support students with special needs by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and other staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience for all students.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervising teacher or school administration.
