Job summary

Farmington Municipal Schools seeks an Educational Assistant to support teachers by addressing individual student needs and assisting with classroom activities. This role focuses on academic and social preparation for student success within a state-approved paraeducator framework.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, 45 college hours or an AA degree, and possession of a Level III ParaEducator license or Substitute license as approved by the Board.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed personnel in school environment.
• Support with individual program materials and student discipline.
• Aid in maintaining student involvement and reinforce teacher plans.
• Work with small groups to reinforce material introduced by the teacher.
• Assist in testing and bridging activities in classrooms.
• Follow district and school procedures and adapt to various classroom needs.
