Job summary

Farmington Municipal Schools is seeking an Educational Assistant to support teachers in the classroom and help students succeed academically and socially. You will assist with individual program materials, supervise independent study, and respond to students as individuals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• AA degree or 45 college hours including required courses.
• Possess ParaEducator exam clearance and any state licensing as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed personnel in classroom and school environment.
• Provide support with individual program materials and student activities.
• Assist with student discipline and maintaining student engagement.
• Assist with testing and reinforcing teacher-planned lessons.
• Work under supervision of certified teachers and principals.
• Be familiar with lesson plans and support home language needs.
