Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College degree not required.
• Experience working with middle school students preferred.
• Ability to build strong relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries and consistent expectations.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, organization, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and student-centered in challenging situations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Willingness to receive feedback and work collaboratively as part of a school team.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, respectful relationships with students while maintaining clear and consistent expectations.
• Identify and respond to behavioral, attendance, engagement, and other barriers that may interfere with student learning.
• Provide structured check-ins and supports to help students remain engaged in school and instruction.
• Support students in developing decision-making, self-management, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Reinforce schoolwide expectations for behavior, attendance, and conduct.
• Communicate with families regarding student needs, progress, attendance, or supports.
• Assist with documenting interventions and tracking student progress.
