Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in academic development of students and in preparation/organization of classroom activities.
• Support and assist the teacher or teaching team with teaching duties, including small groups or individual students.
• Reinforce school rules and conduct; support classroom discipline and behavior management.
• Assist with administration and scoring of tests and work assignments.
• Supervise students throughout the school day both inside and outside the classroom.
• Maintain administrative records and assist in required reports.
• Participate in staff development and meetings as needed.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
