Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have at least 60 semester hours of college credit or pass approved paraprofessional test.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Must demonstrate a patient and receptive attitude toward children with special needs.
• Must maintain confidentiality regarding students' academic and social/behavioral performance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out instructional plans provided by the certified teacher.
• Assist with tutoring, note taking, modeling, mentoring, and general clerical tasks.
• Supervise students and support behavior management as directed by the teacher.
• Provide daily personal care needs as appropriate and other duties as assigned.
