IRVING INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking an In-School Suspension Aide at Nimitz High School in Irving, TX. This full-time paraprofessional role supports students during the school day, under the supervision of the campus principal, to maintain a safe and orderly learning environment.

The incumbent will supervise students, assist teachers with assignments, and maintain records. Minimum education includes Educational Aide I Paraprofessional Certificate and HS diploma or GED; salary ranges

Qualifications

• Educational Aide I Paraprofessional Certificate and HS diploma or GED.
• Ability to interact effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Basic knowledge of office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned students throughout the school day, both inside and outside the classroom.
• Oversee and provide instructional assistance to individual students on assignments as provided by the teachers.
• Keep the teachers/administrators informed of any special needs, problems, and progress of individual students.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
• Keep administrative records and prepare reports as required.
• Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings, and special events as required.
